El Toril

Cloister of the Convent of Saint Francis. This can be accessed via the Callejón de los Ángeles (Angels’ Alley), a narrow street which owes its name to the fact that the Casa Cuna (Cradle House) and Casa de los Ángeles (Angels’ House), a hospice for children up to the age of six, were established there. It then became private property and currently has terraced buildings. The decoration of the doors is outstandingly beautiful; one door bears a Coat of Arms and the other, an image of La Inmaculada (The Immaculate Conception).
